The factory-engineered refrigeration system in the True TUC-36-HC~SPEC1 undercounter refrigerator has a capillary tube system that uses environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Its electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors reduce energy consumption and provide motor reliability. This system provides uniform product temperatures with its guided airflow pattern.

Each time the compressor starts up, its fan motor blows air in reverse for a 20-second period. This removes any dust or dirt that may have built up on the condensing coil, ensuring it remains clean and functioning properly. This feature, when employed alongside routine preventive maintenance, lengthens the unit’s lifespan and reduces energy consumption.

Maintenance access for the slide-out condenser is in the back of cabinet. The True TUC-36-HC~SPEC1 undercounter refrigerator maintains cabinet temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit at a level that is adjustable on the electronic control. It comes equipped with four PVC-coated shelves and they can be adjusted in ¹⁄₂-inch increments to accommodate various product sizes. The stainless steel interior is heavy duty and simple to clean, with coved floor corners to prevent debris from getting stuck and harboring bacteria.
