For durability and corrosion resistance, this True TUC-24-HC undercounter refrigerator is constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, with a stainless steel exterior, aluminum interior liner, and a stainless steel floor. Its left-hinged door opens from the right with a 12-inch-long handle and swings closed by itself when opened less than 90 degrees. A stay-open feature activates at 90 degrees to facilitate stocking and retrieving products. In the cabinet, two PVC-coated wire shelves are adjustable to hold various stored items.

This True TUC-24-HC undercounter refrigerator uses environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain a temperature range of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit—a level that operators can set to their desired settings. Magnetic door gaskets prevent cold air from leaking out, and foamed-in-place polyurethane provides insulation. Its evaporator and condenser fan motors move air through the interior, cooling products evenly. To reduce maintenance, a condensate pan collects extra water, while the evaporator is coated in corrosion-resistant epoxy. Sliding out from the back, the refrigeration system is convenient to access for servicing and cleaning.

Minimizing energy consumption and optimizing efficiency, the compressor’s fan motor reverses for 20 seconds upon start up; this blows away dirt and dust to keep the unit running smoothly. This self-cleaning feature reduces daily labor and lengthens the overall lifespan of the unit, but it does not replace regular preventive maintenance.
