The True T-12-HC one-section reach-in refrigerator stores items on three wire shelves that resist corrosion and adjust to suit different applications. Lights shine in the cabinet to enhance visibility, and the interior is durable with an aluminum liner and stainless floor. Coved corners in the floor do not trap food debris or liquids, simplifying cleanup. To prevent cold air leaks, the stainless steel door has magnetic gaskets around its frame. The door is hinged on the left and opens on the right.

Temperatures in the True T-12-HC single-section reach-in refrigerator stay between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit with the R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Evaporator and condenser fan motors move a consistent volume of air while producing little heat. For efficient operation over time, the condensing coil is cleaned when the fan motor compressor is turned on. It blows air in an opposite direction for 20 seconds to push dirt and debris off the coil to create a more clean surface. Though this feature is designed to keep the coil clean, preventative maintenance should still be applied on a consistent basis. The refrigeration system is mounted on the bottom of the unit, operating in the coolest part of the kitchen. This design raises the floor of the unit to a comfortable height, so staff members do not have to bend to reach products.
