The one-touch programming and automatic capability to cook as many as twice the usual food portions reduces prep time. Measuring 0.6 cubic foot, the interior capacity accommodates a standard half-size cooking pan.

The Amana HDC18SD2 programmable microwave oven has a 60-minute, HD full-color LCD display countdown timer with time entry and an end-of-cycle audible signal. Two magnetrons, each with a rotating antenna, provide even heating. Constructed with a stainless steel exterior, this microwave oven features a heavy-duty door with a grab-and-pull handle The stainless steel interior is sealed and features a recessed ceramic shelf on the bottom to minimize plate-to-shelf edge contact and reduce the time it takes to clean up spills. The removable air filter is highly accessible and has a clean filter reminder feature. For straightforward installation, the automatic voltage sensor adjusts to a 208- or 240-volt power supply.
