The True TUC-48-HC-LP undercounter refrigerator is constructed of stainless steel with GalFan-coated steel on the exterior to resist corrosion. Its aluminum interior liner has a clear coat that can be cleaned up quickly and coved corners built into the floor. Cold air is kept inside with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation, and magnetic gaskets prevent it from leaking out. Since both doors have 12-inch recessed handles, staff can open them comfortably. Product in the cabinet sits on four adjustable, PVC-coated shelves.

The evaporator is epoxy coated for corrosion protection, and the condenser and evaporator fan motors move a uniform amount of air to produce a small amount of heat for efficiency. When maintenance needs to be performed, the service technician can access the system from the rear. The True TUC-48-HC-LP undercounter refrigerator has a capillary tube system that sends R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant around the unit to create cool temperatures. Operators can set the temperature in the unit on a level between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

To keep the condensing coil clean and optimize efficiency, the compressor fan motor uses a self-cleaning function. At the start of each cycle, the fan runs in reverse for a 20 second period to blow dirt and buildup off the condensing coil. Intended to work alongside regular preventive maintenance, this feature improves performance and lengthens the lifespan of the unit.
